Islamabad Anti-Terrorist Court on Friday accepted the federal government request seeking more time for submission of a report concerning the security of former President Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf in the judges detention case, according to a private news channel.

The report regarding Musharraf’s security was submitted to Justice Atiq-ur-Rehman by Assistant Commissioner Islamabad Waqas Rasheed on behalf of the police. The report was returned to the AC for signatures of IG police Sikandar Hayat.

The report was resubmitted after the IGP’s signatures.

Later, officials of National Crises Management Cell (NCMC) appeared before the bench on behalf of the federal interior secretary and submitted a request to the court to grant more time for the report submission over the former president’s security.

The court accepted the request and adjourned the hearing till January 9.

On December 13, Islamabad Anti Terrorist Court had issued orders to the administration to improve security of the former president.
