Blast rocks Peshawar

Peshawar was rocked on Friday by an explosion in the Aijazabad area of Peshawar, a private news channel reported.

According to police, unidentified men placed an explosive device outside a house in Aijazabad and fled away after which the explosion occurred.

The house was partially damaged by the blast but no casualties have been reported in the incident.

Police stated that about 1.5 kilograms of explosives had been used in the bomb device. A case against unidentified persons has been filed and investigations are underway.

The attack has been condemned by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief, Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee (RC).
