LAHORE – A man, Shahid, shot down his brother, Zahid, and injured father Nazir Ahmad and neighbor Bashir Ahmad, over a property dispute in Samanabad police precincts on Friday. The Samanabad police duty officer said both brothers exchanged harsh words and took out weapons. Bashir intervened to solve the matter but failed. The brothers opened fire on each other; Zahid died instantly while Shahid, Nazir and Bashir were injured. Police said that no case had been registered against any one till the filing of the report.
Boy shot: Sani, 16, was killed and his friend Khurram Naseer Butt was injured ina shooting by unidentified people near Bakra Mundi in Shahdra police precincts on Friday. Both were residents of Shahdra Town. Police said the deceased and his friend were shot while riding a bike. The shooter fled from the scene. Sub-Inspector Mian Afzal alleged the victim Sani had been a drug-peddler for the last few years. Rescuers and Edhi workers rushed to the scene after being informed and took the victims to a nearby hospital. Police said Khurram Naseer’s condition was out of danger. No case had been registered till the filing of this report.
Prisoner dies: Babar Ali, 40, son of Khushi Mohammad, a resident of Hanjarwal and a prisoner at Camp Jail was found dead in the Shadman police precincts on Friday. The deceased was identified as. According to police officials, the victim was suffering from a high fever and was subsequently admitted in the jail hospital. They said that the victim had been in jail for the past few years on charges of theft and robbery. They added that due to bad health he died in hospital and later his body was shifted to city morgue.
