Sardar Yousad urged on equal education system for country’s development

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Wednesday underlined the importance of equal education system for the development of the country.

He said that equal curricular system could help to overcome social issues including extremism, sectarianism, class system in society etc, saying that Ulema could play key role for the betterment of education system in the country.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf was the chief guest at a seminar organised by the NGO, “Alif Ailaan” and “Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies” on the topic of Basic Right of Education, Legislation and Religious and National Responsibility. Former Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology, Dr Khalid Masood presided the ceremony.

The minister said that 25-A article of the Constitution provides rights of free primary education to the people of the country. He said that every citizen had to come forward to participate in the campaign for better education system.

He urged Ulema for discouraging sectarianism in the country, adding that anti-state elements were misusing these issues for their dirty aims. There was a need to promote tolerance, brotherhood and love for strengthening the society and country.

Sardar Yousaf said that education opportunities should be available to the people without any discrimination. Good education system could be helpful to address the challenges being faced by the country, he said.

He emphasised implementation on Islamic preaching and values as it was need of time. He said that Pakistan need a better and equal curricular to united the people.

Addressing the seminar, speakers urged on the need of collective efforts for the educated nation, saying that all obstacles including class system were need to be removed for positive results. They stated that education was necessary for the men and women accordance with the Holy Quran.

The seminar was also attended by Muhammad Amir Rana, Musharaf Zaidi, former Minister for Zakat & Ushr Maulana Noor Ul Haq Qadri, Maulana Rooh Ullah Chief Khateeb KPK, Leader of JUI Maulana Ata Ullah Shahab, Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Maulana Masood and other scholars.

The speakers also expressed the importance of teacher’s role and his status in the society.
