18 gas pipeline workers were killed while 8 were wounded when unidentified men opened fire on them in Miqdadiya, Diyala on Saturday.
According to sources, 15 out of the 18 killed in the attack were Iranians. The dead bodies and wounded persons were shifted to a hospital. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but government sources allege the involvement of Al Qaeda.
In another incident, 5 persons were killed while 14 were injured in a car bomb blast in Baghdad.
