An air strike killed fifteen people who were on their way to a wedding in Yemen as they were mistaken for an Al Qaeda convoy on Thursday according to the security officials.
Local media claimed the a drone hit the party in the central al-Bayda province that killed ten people on the spot and critically injured five others who died in hospital.
A US official acknowledged the media reports but did not confirm the news.
“We have no information that corroborates these reports,” the official said, without elaborating.
