Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has felicitated his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on the successful launch of Chang’e-3 lunar probe with its first moon rover aboard.
In his message to the Chinese PM he said this remarkable scientific success is a manifestation of China’s rising technological prowess.
China has launched its first ever extraterrestrial landing craft into orbit en route for the moon, in a major milestone achievement for its space programme. The Chang’e-3 lunar probe, which includes the Yutu or Jade-Rabbit buggy, blasted off on board an enhanced Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in China’s southwestern Sichuan province at on Monday.
