The two-member bench of Sindh High Court comprising Justice Nadeem Akhtar and Justice Shaukat Memon accepted the petition of the Ansar Burney Trust International for an immediate inquiry of 41 terrorist prisoners replaced with 41 innocents in Sindh Jails, and issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Minister Jails Manzoor Wassan, NADRA chairman, Sindh home secretary, Inspector General Police, Sindh Jails IG and all others.
The in-charge of Ansar Burney Trust International, Mrs Shagufta Burney and Manager Muhammad Danish Ali has filed an urgent constitutional petition in the Sindh High Court on behalf of the Ansar Burney Trust International and informed the court that the matter was put before Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday, Nov 27, 2013, by the Sindh home secretary, saying that 41 prisoners held in different jails of the province had been replaced by fake suspects but no action has so far been taken for the release of the innocents and arrest of real criminals.
The home secretary during law and order briefing informed the PM that identities were confirmed through the biometrics system of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
According to details, these 41 fake prisoners were imprisoned in province’s different jails and the majority is in two jails of Karachi. These fake prisoners have replaced two convicted and 39 under trial prisoners. Such illegal and unlawful confinement is termed as Judicial Slavery.
The United Nations former expert and advisor on human rights Ansar Burney questioned, how they were replaced is a mystery yet to unfold.
According to details collected by the Ansar Burney Trust International; Ali Hyder was jailed in place of convicted prisoner Ghulam Sarwar and Masood Alam in place of convicted Muhammad Shamim.
Ansar Burney, Advocate said that the 39 were under trial prisoners as: Shan Muhammad in place of Sultan, Wahid Bux in place of Shahzad, Abdul Qadir in place of Abdullah, Muhammad Naeem in place of Zaheer, Ramzan Ali in place of Kamran, Muhammad Shahid Nawaz in place of Tabasum alias Tassu, Abdul Khaliq in place of Babul, Abdul Gafoor in place of Abdul Rasheed alias Abdullah, Ali Mardan in place of Shoiab Ali alias Munna, Nazeer in place of Shaukat, Amir Shamim in place of Danish, Dil Muhammad in place of Din Muhammad alias Sheena, Umar Razaq in place of Habilbullah, Imran in place of Kamran alias Kami Tahir Shah in place of Talib Shah, Ramzan in place of Akram.
