Prevention of aggression duty of federal govt: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that stopping drone attacks is a matter of national honour and demanded of the federal government to get the missile strikes stopped.
He said that it is the responsibility of the federal government to save the nation from external aggression.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Imran Khan said that it was decided in the All Parties Conference (APC) that if drone strikes were not suspended during peace talks with the Tehreek-e-Talban Pakistan, the government would stop NATO supplies. He said that all political parties had praised this point at that time but have backed off now other than the PTI and the JI.
The PTI head said that they did not declare war on the US but protested against the drone attacks as dialogue could not be held with the TTP until the missile strikes were stopped.
Imran said that the US killed every TTP warlord who agreed to hold peace talks. He said that the drone attacks had affected economy of the country and Pakistan would not attract investors until the establishment of peace.
To a question, the PTI chief predicted that the US will continue its drone programme in Afghanistan for next 10 years. He said that they will never retreat on the matter of drone attacks.
He also said that military solution to any issue makes the matter worse.
Separately, addressing the ceremony of South Asia Conclave and Golf Tournament, Imran Khan said that Pakistan and India could get the status of developed countries by easing tensions that prevails between them.
He also said the resolution of Kashmir issue and launching of trade between the two countries could make the region the best in the world.
The PTI chief said that the good leadership was that who could take difficult decisions and bear the pressure.
He said it was very difficult to govern in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the provincial government would not let NATO supplies pass through its territory.
