Polio vaccination campaign was suspended in district West areas of Karachi on Tuesday after security was diverted during the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here.
According to media reports, anti-polio drive was suspended in various areas of the West district due to lack of adequate security measures for the polio teams.
Local administrations sources said that the security was diverted for the visit of the prime minister, who is on a visit to lay the foundation stone of a nuclear plant.
Anti-polio campaign is already suspended in several other areas of Karachi owing to security concerns.
