Nawaz condemns Karachi bombings

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday condemned twin blasts in Karachi that killed at least seven people and injured 40 others.
In a statement, he said terrorism could not demoralise nation’s resolve, adding that the government would do all out effort to take terrorists and terrorism to their logical conclusion.
He said, “Such brutalities were unacceptable, and we had no other option but to root out terrorism.”
He directed law enforcers to continue their duties without any fear. “The nation will never be intimidated by these acts of terror in Karachi. Law and writ of the state will take care of fear-mongers, responsible for such heinous crimes. We will make sure that terrorists and criminals are speedily prosecuted and justice is dispensed without fear and favour,” stressed the PM.
Terming the blasts in Karachi a cowardly act of terrorism, Nawaz said, “All institutions will have to work without fear and upholding professional competence for effectively addressing the menace of terror. We have no option but to wipe out the peril of extremism, sectarianism and terrorism. Karachi killings are cowardly act of terrorists.”
Sympathising deeply with the bereaved families, the PM prayed to God to bless the departed souls with eternal peace and grant courage to their families to bear the irreparable los with fortitude.
He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the bombings.
