Pakistan’s seasoned allrounder, Abdul Razzaq has blamed former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Zaka Ashraf, for sidelining him from the national team since last year.
Razzaq, 33, who has finally won a recall to the national T20 squad for the series against South Africa, said it was Ashraf who had blown his differences with Mohammad Hafeez out of proportion.
The all-rounder had blamed Hafeez for dropping him for the semi-final of the World T20 Cup against Australia played last year in Sri Lanka.
Razzaq, after returning home with the team, told reporters that Hafeez should take responsibility for dropping him.
The PCB, which was run by Ashraf, issued a showcause notice to the all-rounder and fined him 100,000 rupees.
“It was not such a big issue but Zaka Ashraf made it into a big issue. I was fined and I apologised for my remarks and that should have been the end of the matter but because of Zaka Ashraf I was not selected in the team,” Razzaq added.
Team selection is not a matter that a chairman should handle!
Please Razzaq stop blamming others and concentrate on what basis did team management commtee did not select u!
This is paid statement by Abdul Razaaq because PCB chairman has many other works to do ….such works like selection of player etc is done by Selection committee then why he is blaming Former Zaka Ashraf.
Its not expected from razzaq…that he would criticize former pcb chief..
Its all clear that Razzaq has been said to utter such words against Zaka Ashraf.!
Razaqq sahab is so happy that he have been selected for T20 against South Africa that he can do what ever board wants him to do like "JO HUKAM MERY AKA".
I think its not the fault on Razzaq's part, these words have been forcefuly made from his mouth to be slipped!
and everyone one who is behind the back!
Renowned Chirya owner! hahahah….
Dear Razzaq all the cricket fans in Pakistan know how well you perform… You have been old now and is incapable to deliver well in the field. And this is something every single cricket fan know.
I guess Razzaq has forgotten the time when he was made the captain of ZTBL cricket team at Zaka Ashraf's time and was being payed 80ks a month!!!
I am an eye witness of it since I have been worked in ZTBL at that time.
Its so pathetic to know that for some amount of money newspapers sell their reputation!!!
Razzak has been past his time since long but being an uneducated person cannot accept it. He has been an awful fielder through out his career and an allrounder only by chance.
well i fully appreciate if by any means former pcb cheif did not select him. He is old now and does not fit in cricket anymore.
