Every shave might be a close shave in the future. The unshaven lot weren’t ever fans of the whole business of scraping hair off your face. And they’d been attacking barbers’ shops in Swat as well, but the circle is tightening. Soon, practitioners of this noble (why the hell not?) craft are going to feel increasingly threatened in other cities as well.

An interesting situation in a generals’ colony in ‘Pindi the other day. Two retired brigadiers (neither with any combat experience, one learns) happened to share a wall. Where, without getting into the specifics (okay, it was an overbearing Bougainvillea) they got into a fight. It came down to blows, apparently. The son of one of the two had to be taken to the hospital, it appears.
Some borders are important, goddamit!!!!
