The Peshawar city police continued pre-Muharram operation in various areas of the city on Sunday during which 20 more suspects, having arms and drugs in their possession, were arrested.
According to Peshawar Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Ismail Kharrak, police teams launched crackdown in Faqeerabad and adjoining areas of Peshawar.
The SSP said cases were registered against the suspects and investigations were underway. He said the operation would continue to ensure security during the month of Muharram.
