Sanaullah hoping for a safe Muharram amidst threats

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the provincial government has received terror threats for the month of Muharram.
Talking to media men on Tuesday, Sanaullah said that Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) led Punjab government in the wake of terror threats was making foolproof arrangements for Muharram. He said that surety bonds would be sought from clerics involved in provocative speeches.
Sanaullah said that religious leaders who despite warning continued provocative speeches would be house arrested. He said that no compromise will be made regarding security to public lives and properties, and elements involved in disturbing law and order situation will not be spared at any cost. The law minister stressed upon the need of contravention of local network of extremists to deal with the menace of terrorism and extremism.
Commenting on the anguish of masses over the tough decisions by PML-N led federal government he said that countrymen will appreciate the performance of government when it will overcome the load shedding, terrorism and other problems faced by country and its people within three years.
ARMY, RANGERS TO BE DEPLOYED FOR MUHARRAM: The PML-N led Punjab government has decided to deploy Pak Army and Rangers personnel in sensitive districts of the province during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Harram. The Punjab government sources said that services of rangers and army will be acquired to maintain law and order situation across the province during Muharram.
Eight districts of the province are likely to be declared sensitive during the first month of the Islamic year. However, the security would be kept on red alert across the province.
The districts which were likely to be declared sensitive included Jhang, Lahore, Multan, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Rahimyar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.
