The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned till tomorrow (Thursday) hearing of an appeal filed against the high court’s decision in arms recovery case against Shah Rukh Jatoi, main culprit in Shah Zaib’s murder case
The family of Shah Rukh Jatoi had filed a petition in the Supreme Court, Karachi Registry, that the investigation officer was changed during investigation. In the meantime, arms and arms report was also changed, the petition said. The case registered against Shah Rukh Jatio for possessing illegal arms was wrong, it added. “We resorted to Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in this connection but the court rejected our plea. We also approached high court but it also upheld the decision of subordinate court. The SC is requested to review the case and issue orders for revocation of FIA, the petitioners prayed.
The petition was to be heard by a two-member bench of the SC comprising Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali and Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani but the counsel for the accused requested the court to adjourn the hearing due to his ailment.
