The Islamabad Police on Monday claimed to have solved mysterious killing of 6-member family, whose dead bodies were recovered on October 14 from rural area of federal capital.
Police said that they have arrested the principle accused who was allegedly involved in the killing plot. Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sikandar Hayat said, “We have arrested main accused who turned to be real nephew of Nazia Amir. He killed his aunt and her family to grab property.”
Flanked by Operations Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sultan Azam Temuri and Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Rizwan, the Islamabad IGP told a press conference on Monday that five dead bodies were found on October 14 from two different places Near Fuel Station GT Road (Sihala Police Station) and Police Foundation (Loi Bher Police Station).
Later on, the dead bodies were identified as Amir Ullah, his wife Nazia Amir, his daughter Roman, his sons Adam Khan and Hamza Khan and his servant Muhammad Asghar.
Following this incident the Islamabad IGP said he had constituted a special team, which succeeded to arrest the main accused who turned to be nephew of the victim Nazia Amir. He along with hired assassins hatched a plot to kill his aunt and her family to occupy her property because he was the heir after the death of his aunt and her family members. Evidence suggested that all five family members were strangulated after being tied up with ropes whereas their servant, Muhammad Asghar, was stabbed to death. Amir, a dual national, was serving as a director in private cellular company.
The IGP said that the police team investigated the case and apprehended the culprits involved in this heinous crime. It was found that Sikandar, nephew of Amir’s wife Nazia, was the principal accused who planned and executed this gruesome act. He hired assassins from Peshawar namely Afsar Khan, Zakir Khan and others for the said purpose against a promised sum of Rs 2.5 Million. His motive was acquisition of Amir’s assets in pursuit of which he assassinated the entire family in order became a direct heir.
Sikandar’s arrest and subsequent interrogation made him narrate the whole transaction of event comprehensively. This narration has been corroborated by irrefutable scientific evidence like movement log of Amir’s vehicle used for dumping bodies, CCTV footages & Call Data Records (CDRs) of Sikandar’s cell phone.
Along with Sikandar his associates in crime namely Afsar Khan, Zakir Khan and Ibrahim alias Janay have also been arrested.

I have written twice to IGP ICT that the crime rate in my street i.e 47 F/11/3 Islamabad has increased manifold, but no action has been taken so far. the Police may add feathers in its cap by showing its presence in that area

is that quick movement only because the victim and his family were Australian national and pressure from Aussie embassy ? so many murders goes un noticed!
Great effort by ICT Police. They deserve to be appreciated in solving the murder so quickly. It is now the duty of the court to take a decision quickly.
