One killed, 5 injured by Indian firing across LoC

A young civilian was killed and five others, including two women, were injured in Indian firing across the Line of Control in Nakayal and Tatta Pani sectors of Kotli district on Friday.

Kotli Deputy Commissioner Masoodur Rehman confirmed the aggression.

He said the Indian troops targeted the local population of forward villages, including Rud Katthar, Sunbal Dabsi and Dhairee in Nakayal and Tatta Pani sectors without any provocation.

As a result, an 11-year-old boy was killed and five others were injured.

The DC said the injured were rushed to District Hospital Kotli where their condition was stated to be critical.

Indian forces continued unprovoked firing across the LoC in Nakayal Sector in Kotli district throughout the day.
