Two alleged kidnappers were killed while three others were arrested as security forces conducted a search operation for a kidnapped doctor and a director of non-governmental organization in Qilla Abdullah on Saturday. A security personnel was also martyred and another was injured during the operation.
According to details, Anti Terrorist Force (ATF), police and Levies force launched a search and rescue operation in Teshsil Gulistan of the Qilla Abdullah District in the Balochistan province to recover the abducted, Dr Munaf Tareen and Noor Muhammad, director of an NGO.
A crossfire took place between the security forces and alleged abductors during which two kidnappers were killed and three others were arrested.
During the encounter, an ATF cop was also martyred while another sustained injuries.
However, Dr Munaf Tareen and Noor Muhammad could not be recovered.
It should be mentioned that cardiologist Dr Munaf Tareen was abducted on September 18 when he was on his way to his house from his private hospital at Pishin Stop. The abductors, firing gunshots in the air, took him away along with his vehicle. Since then, the doctors in Balochistan are observing strike, causing an inconvenience to patients.
