President urges NAB to ensure impartial accountability

President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the National Accountability Bureau to ensure impartial and transparent accountability in guiding the country out of the menace of corruption.

Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony of NAB trainees in Islamabad‚ he said the accountability bureau should strive to restore the confidence of the people in the system and state institutions.

Mamnoon Hussain pointed out that the corruption destroys the very fabric of society and undermines the value of work and dignity of human beings. Therefore all the concerned departments will have to play their role in curbing this menace.

The president expressed confidence that the newly inducted NAB officers will maintain the reputation of honest and upright officers and discharge their duties with utmost honesty‚ professionalism and integrity to combat the menace of corruption.

He said the NAB officers should not get influenced by any consideration other than the rule of law.

He hoped the NAB officers will utilize all their knowledge and analytical skills to ensure rule of law is maintained.
