Welcoming an appeal of ceasefire made by prominent clerics of the country, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan on Tuesday said they would follow suit if the government decided to cease fire.

TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid also thanked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for his proposal of allowing the TTP to open a political office, but added that the militia did not need such offices in Pakistan.

He said it was the TTP shura’s unanimous decision to move forward per the decisions made in the all-parties conference (APC).
