Local bodies’ elections in Balochistan will be held on December 7, a high-level meeting decided on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed arrangements to hold the local bodies’ elections in the province under the judgement of the Supreme Court.
Balochistan Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad, who chaired the meeting, directed the provincial home secretary to prepare a comprehensive plan for holding free‚ fair and peaceful elections.
The meeting was told that necessary amendment in the Local Government Act was approved by the provincial assembly which was imposed in the province.
