Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Sunday said that many countries including Turkey, Denmark and America had shown interest to cooperate in energy sector with Pakistan.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had emphasized on trade rather than aid during meeting with different heads of states.
He said the Pakistani premier forcefully reminded the United Nations (UN) to play its vital role to resolve the issue of Kashmir in accordance with resolution of 1948. He said the government was taking serious steps for keeping peace in the region, adding that dialogue offer to the Taliban should not be considered as weakness of the government. He said maintaining peace in the country was top priority of the government.
He said he was committed to develop friendly relations with the neighboring countries.
