5 more dengue cases surface in Punjab

Deadly dengue virus continues to grip more areas of Punjab as five new cases surfaced across the province on Saturday.

According to details, dengue virus was detected in five patients hailing from various districts of Punjab.

The affected people included 50-year-old Mumtaz Bibi, a resident of Railway Road, Sadia, 35, hailing from Chungi Amar Sidhu, five-year-old Ali of Ferozpur Road, Irshad, 22, hailing from Sheikhupura district and 14-year-old Arslan belonging to Rahimyar Khan.

With recent cases, the total number of dengue patients in Punjab has climbed to 236.

Provincial capital Lahore was hit most of the dengue virus. The affected people are being provided treatment at Mayo Hospital, Ganga Ram Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Services Hospital, General Hospital, DHQ Sheikhupura, and Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur.
