The Pakistan People’s Party has shown reservation on the nomination of Justice (r) Ejaz Chaudhry for the NAB chief’s position. Citing Ejaz’s ‘close ties’ with the PML-N, Opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah said he would apprise Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about his apprehensions when the latter returns from the US. The sources said that Shah would also tell Sharif that PML-N’s reservations on the name of Justice Mian Muhammad Ajmal is baseless as Justice Ajmal had not signed the summary regarding deposition of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary as he was on leave at that time.
