Metro Bus shuttle service launched

Hamza Shahbaz on Tuesday inaugurated the shuttle bus service At Model Town. The service aims at taking commuters from Model Town to Metro Bus Service stops.

Addressing the ceremony, he said that the service is to facilitate the citizens.

Hamza remarked that the Metro Bus Service is a landmark achievement for the Punjab government which facilitates around 0.2 million people daily.

Speaking on power crisis, Hamza assured that the government would spare no efforts to end load shedding and that line losses would be reduced to 30 percent. “It will take three years to accomplish the project of power production through coal,” he said.

He said that terrorism is a challenge for the entire nation and all resources would be utilised to get rid of it, adding that sincere commitment is needed to achieve the goal.

“Steps taken by the Punjab government to facilitate the masses have been internationally appreciated,” he opined. He said that promotion of sports is the priority of the provincial government and plans to establish a sports university is under consideration.

The ceremony was attended by Model Town Society president, senior journalists and District Administration officials.
