Peshawar blasts conspiracy to sabotage peace talks: JI chief

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hasan on Sunday said conspiracies were being hatched to sabotage peace talks.
Talking to reporters, he said that killing of minorities was against the teachings of Islam and elements involved were enemies of humanity.
He said the government should be at driving seat to tackle the situation which emerged after Peshawar bombing incident claiming dozens of innocent lives.
The JI chief said the Pakistan Army and the government should be at same page for making joint efforts to deal with terrorism.
Hasan said that attacks on mosques, imambargahs and churches were a question mark on the performance of security agencies.
He expressed solidarity with the heirs of the victims of Peshawar suicide blasts.
The JI leader stressed over the need of initiating dialogues on priority basis to resolve the issue. He said that result-oriented talks are the only guarantee for restoration of peace in the country.

  4. Let us look at ourselves – the cancer of terrorism is within us. Stop looking for scapegoats outside of Pakistan. It is the extremists and their supporters – so called our leaders – who are just unwilling to recognize the sick mindset in our own ranks.

    Dialogue with the sick mind does not make sense. Let us get organized and fight these sick terrorists and get rid of them forever. It will be a long fight but it is something worth fighting for!!!
