Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif was stopped by authorities at London’s Heathrow Airport on Saturday evening for carrying ‘prohibited items’ in his luggage.

Khawaja Asif was reportedly travelling from London to Lahore on a Pakistan International Airlines flight PIA-758. The minister had received his boarding pass, but was stopped during subsequent screening.

Airport authorities put Asif and his luggage through another screening process and let him through after removing some alleged prohibited items from his luggage.

In a tweet, Asif said that the airport authorities had checked two bottles of colognes he was carrying in his hand luggage but he was allowed to take them onboard the aircraft.
