Federal Minister for planning and development Ahsan Iqbal has said that nations which have poor foundation of science and technology have no chance for success in current era.
The minister stated this while addressing as chief guest at the 8thconvocation of Institute of Space technology on Saturday. He said that engineers of the country have the responsibility to create and construct the country. It is beginning of new era where knowledge has become central piece for progress of any country.
The minister said that knowledge capital is new paradigm and new drivers are computer technology and robot technology. Ahsan Iqbal said that it very unfortunate that in any education index Muslim countries are at the bottom and in the race of civilization they are also at bottom which shows that how much education we as Muslim are. In early times there were 90 Muslim scientists among hundred top scientists but today situation has been adverse.
Ahsan Iqbal said that in past lack of political stability and continuity of policies hindered the economical growth adding that, if it not happened then we would be second Japan. He said that we are under managed country therefore it is need of the hour to move forward with positive approach. At this occasion, the minister conferred gold medals and degrees to the students of the varsity.
