As many as five security officials were killed in separate incidents across the country on Sunday.
In the first incident, at least two khasadar force personnel were killed and two others injured after their vehicle was attacked in North Waziristan Agency on Sunday, a security official said.
He said terrorists ambushed the Saidgai-bound vehicle near Mir Ali post in NWA. Of seven officials, two were killed and another two were seriously injured. The injured have been rushed to Bannu CMH.
Separately, a security official was killed and two wounded in a bombing on Miranshah-Mirali Road in NWA on Sunday.
Official sources said that the security forces vehicle was on way from Miranshah to Bannu, when some unidentified people defused the bomb through a remote control.
Meanwhile, armed men gunned down two employees of CID police in Khuzdar on Sunday.
According to details, unidentified terrorists opened fire on the officials on their way home. Both officials were killed on the spot. The attackers managed to escape from the scene.
The bodies were shifted to a hospital and were later handed over to heirs.
