Fazlur Rehman, chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, on Saturday said his differences with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were based on ideology and he has no personal conflict with Imran Khan.
The cleric said this while addressing a public gathering. He hoped that the JUI-F would gain success in by-polls in NA-25 Tank on September 18.
The JUI-F chief urged the people to reject the anti-Islamic forces in the by-polls.
He said the JUI-F was the only party which was struggling for supremacy of Islam and protecting the rights of the people. “Ongoing development projects in Tank are landmark achievement of our party,” he added.
Fazl claimed that he has never been involved in corruption and if anyone would prove him guilty, he would leave the politics.
He blamed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had given the Education Department in the hands of a foreign NGO which was promoting non-Islamic belief.
The cleric said he conditioned joining the government with legislation for tribal people and restoration of peace in the tribal areas.
