The Capital Police on Tuesday arrested nine lawbreakers from various areas of the city and seized stolen bike, nine bottles of liquor, one Kalashnikov, two pistols and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP Muhammad Rizwan directed all police officials for effective crackdown against auto thief, drug pushers, and bootleggers in the city and ensures their arrest. He said that such activities are intolerable and those involved in such crime could not be spared. During vigilance and policing measures, ASI Tariq Rauf from Shahzad Town Police Station arrested bike thief Muhammad Aslam and recovered one stole bike bearing registration number FR-570 amounting to Rs 45,000 from him. Sub Inspector Zulfqar Ahmed from CIA Police arrested a thief Nadeem and recovered stolen property amounting to Rs 200,000 from him.
Sub Inspector Abdul Sattar from Banigala Police Station seized one Kalashnikov, one 30-bore illicit pistols along with 18 bullets and arrested accused Sajjad Hussain and Haider Abbass. Sub Inspector Nusrat Ali from Golra Police Station arrested Hussain Iqbal and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with three bullets from him. ASI Asif Hussain from Kohsar Police Station arrested a bootlegger Mujahid and recovered two wine bottles from him. Sub Inspector Sultan from Secretariat Police Station arrested two Afghan nationals identified as Khadam Hussain and Arif Maqsod. Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
