Pakistan to take part in Doha shotgun event

Six marksmen of Pakistan are to take part in the 2nd CISM International Shotgun Tournament to be held at Doha, Qatar, from October 30 to November 2 under the auspices of International Military Sports Council.

Sources informed ‘The News’ that the team would comprise Army’s Colonel Fakhar and Brigadier Zafar and Navy’s Abdul Sattar, Asif Mehmood, Waheed Aalam, and Mubeen. They will take part in Skeet and Trap events. The team has been selected after trials held recently at Jhelum.

All the competitions will be conducted in Lusail Shooting Complex, which is equipped with Laporte target throwing machines and electronic scoreboards.

The competitions will be held in the following events: Trap (men) 125 targets (team and individual); Skeet (men) 125 targets (team and individual); Trap (women) 75 targets (team and individual); and Skeet (women) 75 targets (team and individual). Participants must be military personnel on active duty with the armed forces of their country.
