Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, central spokesman and deputy secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) on Wednesday demanded that the government launch a war on terrorists without any delay.
“The terrorists have imposed a war on all Pakistanis therefore Pakistan needs to launch a defensive war to liquidate the terrorists,” he said this at a press conference.
He asked the government to quit if they could not eliminate the terrorists. He quoted the PM as saying that 40,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives due to terrorism. He said that the Pakistan Army headquarters, ISI HQ in Islamabad, Pakistan Air Force base in Kamra and Pakistan Navy’s PNS Mehran were also attacked by the terrorists.
“These terrorists have attacked holy shrines of Islamic saints such as Shah Abdul Lateef alias Bari Sarkar, Abdullah Shah Ghazi and Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar, and several other shrines in Sindh and Baluchistan provinces,” he said.
Naqvi said that ignoring these facts, the government was pursuing a policy of appeasement to deal with the terrorists. He said that due to policy of talks with the terrorists, they have been emboldened that was why the targeted murders and terrorist attacks continued across the country.
“The policy to appease the terrorists by talks is nothing but a failure. These terrorists of outlawed outfits murdered three Shias during the presence of the prime minister and his cabinet in Karachi,” he referred.
The MWM leader said the terrorists deserved capital punishment and Pakistan needed to launch war to flush out them. He said that if the policy of appeasement and talks with the terrorists continued and people continued to be killed, then the heirs of the martyrs would resort to name the PM and his cabinet members in the FIRs.
