The Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to a railway divisional engineer involved in a railway tracks theft case.
The LHC ordered the accused to submit surety bonds to avail the bail.
Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi passed the orders on a bail application filed by Divisional Engineer Faisal Imran through his counsel Abid Saqi.
Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel said that the railway police arrested the accused on allegations of railway tracks theft between Shahdad Kot and Jacobabad. He pointed out that the said tracks were recovered from a storage facility in Lahore.
It had been established that the tracks were stolen by a DSP with the help of police constables, who during investigation, said and contended that no railway officer was involved in the matter.
He pleaded to the court to grant bail to the accused who was being implicated in the case without any justification.
After hearing the counsel’s argument, the LHC granted bail to the accused.
