TEVTA will join hands with International Labour Organization (ILO) to prepare a strategic plan according to the National Skill Strategy’s requirements for the development of Pakistan’s TVET sector.
It was decided in a meeting between TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Ali and a two-member ILO delegation which included ILO Consultant Paul Comyun and Program Manager (EET) Rabia Razzaq at the TEVTA Secretariat. Senior management of TEVTA was also present at the occasion.
During the meeting, areas of cooperation, modalities and the steps for making an efficient plan were discussed in detail.
According to the details of the meeting, the ILO would assist TEVTA for the capacity building of its senior management, head of institutes and teachers on competency based training (CBT).
It would enhance the skills of TEVTA about the Management of Training Institutes (MOTI) and on institutionalising career counseling and vocational guidance inPakistan.
