Holding Pakistan responsible for the tension on the Line of Control (LoC), Indian Defence Minister AK Anthony on Thursday said militants were infiltrating into Indian-held Kashmir from across the border in the shadow of firing and shelling.
In an interview, Anthony said the situation in IHK was worsening day by day while the number of killings was rising due to the continuous violation of ceasefire by Pakistan on the LoC.
“Pakistan has been always involved in fueling tension and during three years, 26 soldiers have been killed due to the firing and shelling on the LoC.”
The Indian defence minister said, “We have increased the monitoring on our borders and also alerted our army.”
He alleged that Pakistani forces initiated firing and shelling from across the border and said India was also working to resolve border disputes with China through peaceful ways.
