On Young Doctors Association (YDA)’s call, the partial strike on Tuesday against the sacking of 199 house officers from different hospitals of Punjab at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) entered into its sixth day.
The YDA activists also blocked the Ferozpur Road for two hours in protest against the termination of the house officers.
YDA leader Dr Shehzad said that a meeting of the YDA’s general council would soon be held to decide the future line of action.
The health department terminated around 199 house officers including 62 from the LGH.
