Punjab CS shows his concern for flood victims

Punjab Chief Secretary Javed Aslam directed the Health Department to ensure basic health facilities for the province’s flood victims. He stated this on Monday while presiding over a meeting held at the Civil Secretariat to review Punjab’s flood arrangements.
Additional Chief Secretary Mirza Sohail Aamir, Board of Revenue’s Senior Member Nadeem Ashraf, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Director General Capt (retd) Muhammad Asif, Local Government Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik, Home Secretary Maj (retd) Azam Salman Khan, Implementation and Coordination Secretary Ali Tahir, Irrigation Secretary Capt (retd) Zahid Saeed, the Livestock Secretary, Rescue 1122 DG Dr Rizwan Naseer, Information and Culture Additional Secretary Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani and officials of the PDMA attended the meeting.
Aslam instructed Health Department to ensure the availability of snakebite and malaria vaccines in the affected areas. He maintained that mobile health teams should be sent to the flood affected areas. Furthermore, he directed the Livestock Department to provide vaccination for the animals in the flood affected areas. He also directed the Divisional Commissioners and the District Administrations of the affected areas to provide clean drinking water to the people.
Furthermore, he said that the institutions concerned needed to maintain close contact with each other to control any untoward situation. He said that government functionaries needed to make all out efforts for the permanent rehabilitation of the affectees.
