The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday contacted the Interpol to seek assistance in the arrest of former prime minister Shaukat Aziz in connection with the Akbar Bugti murder case.
According to reports, the Interpol was told in a letter that Aziz and former Balochistan governor Owais Ghani were the nominated accused in the case.
An anti-terrorism court in Quetta had issued non-bail arrest warrants for the duo, the letter said, adding that Pakistan needed Interpol’s assistance to arrest the accused who were now living abroad.
