The ongoing intermittent monsoon rains have damaged various roads of the federal capital affecting traffic flow, especially at nights. Margalla Road, Service Road of the Blue Area and streets of different sectors, including F-10, G-10, G-7, G-9, I-9 and I-10 have been damaged and need attention of the authorities concerned to avoid further deterioration. Muhammad Waseem, a resident of the capital, said many of the roads had developed pot holes and he had to apply breaks time and again to avoid them. Moreover, missing covers of manholes posed serious threat to the motorists. He appealed to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to do the needful to avert mishaps. A CDA spokesman, when contacted, said that the matter was already in the notice of the authority and it would soon undertake patching up the roads.
