Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday hosted a reception in honour of the Pakistan national football team at its Presidential Palace in Kabul. During the meeting with the Pakistan team he elaborated that winning or losing in any game does not matter, this healthy contest in the field of football has brought people of Pakistan and Afghanistan closer. “The next away match in Pakistan in the year 2014 will even take the friendly relationship of both the nations a step forward,” he said. He also named this match as a Pakistan–Afghanistan Friendship match. He thanked Pakistan Football Federation and Pakistan Government for sending their National Football Team for playing International friendly football match with Afghanistan Football Team in Kabul which will help Afghanistan a lot to overcome Isolation in International sports. The use of FOOTBALL DIPLOMACY by the visionary leadership of Pakistan Football Federation may melt ice and change the existing cold status into warm brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries.
