Two-day health symposium concludes at PGMI

LAHORE – A two-day health symposium concluded at the Post Graduate Medical Institute on Sunday in which more than 400 doctors and senior specialists participated.
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Vice-Chancellor Ahmed Jan Durrani was the chief guest on the occasion. Around 13 pre-symposium workshops of various medical and surgical disciplines were held out of which three were exclusively for nurses and paramedical staff. Addressing the symposium’s concluding session, PGMI Principal Professor Tariq Salahuddin urged doctors to do more research and seek knowledge for updating their professional expertise. Durrani highlighted the importance of research in the modern world and urged the event organisers to continue organising such scientific activities on a regular basis. A book fair was also organised in the symposium which displayed latest medical books and journals. During the concluding session, Humanity and Hope Pakistan Country Director Cynthia Dawn Ritchie distributed shields and souvenirs among workshop organisers and speakers.
