The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is all set to present a draft bill for the local bodies (LB) system in the Sindh Assembly (SA) on Monday (today).
According to sources, the PPP is expected to get the draft bill passed from the assembly without incorporating the recommendations of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), as the latter has rejected the proposed law.

Sindh Assembly Speaker, Nisar Khuhro briefed the CM about the details of contacts made and meetings held with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Awami National Party (ANP), the PML-F and nationalist parties in connection with proposed bill. He said some of the recommendations put forth by these parties were also made part of the bill.
The members were also taken into confidence over the draft bill in the party meeting.
