The security forces assumed charge of Mach jail on Saturday to counter a jailbreak threat.
Around 40 to 50 security personnel started a search of the jail barracks.
According to media reports, 1,500 to 2,000 prisoners involved in various crimes are imprisoned in the jail besides the prisoners on death row.
