Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to implement local government ordinance in Sindh province despite the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM)’s protests. The decision was taken after assurances of support by the Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Sindh’s nationlists political parties, sources said. The MQM has meanwhile decided to stand against Local Government Ordinance 2012 and demanded local bodies election under article 140. According to MQM leader Sardar Ahmed, the PPP suggested 1979’s ordinance is not alright with them as it might be implemented in Jacobabad, Ghotki and Dadu but not in Karachi. He further said that MQM is not comfortable with this stance of the PPP and wants to settle conflicts in a peaceful way. Sources said the PPP will be successful once the Sindh governor okayed the implementation of the ordinance. PPP Senior Minister Nisar Khoro said that the 2012 local bodies act was rejected by the people of Sindh which makes it controversial but MQM was with PPP when local act 2001 was abolished, he claimed.
You forgot to mention PML-Functional. Anyhow the majority must have authority and this is called democracy which MQM should respect. MQM was asked to join the government but they refused and instead is asking for Army action for obvious reasons.
