Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Leader and Senior Minister Rana Sanaullah called Zamurad Khan’s move to handle an armed person during Thursday’s Islamabad shootout situation as a “drama”. Talking to media personnel on Friday, Sanaullah said that Zamurad’s act during the Islamabad incident could not be called an act of bravery as he was not trained for such an act. He also held the Islamabad administration responsible for its failure in taking prompt action. However, Sanaullah admitted that the Islamabad administration’s disappointing performance provided an opportunity for the politician to take action against an armed man who had taken the entire city hostage for more than five hours. Sanaullah stated “Zamurad fell during his effort to capture Sikandar. The armed person could hit him during this if he willed so, and it would be a big national incident if that had happened”. Furthermore, he said that Zamurad did not inform the administration about his act, adding that the responsible personnel should be given punishments for showing their irresponsibility and negligence in this regard.
