Capital police doing what it’s best at – catching bootleggers

Capital police on Friday arrested seven lawbreakers and seized 11 bottles of wine and illegal weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Muhammad Rizwan directed all police officials for effective crackdown against criminals, bootleggers and drug pushers in the city and to ensure their arrest.

Following his directions, ASI Kohsar Police Station Akhtar Abbas during check-post duty arrested accused Zulfiqar and recovered an machine gun with 20 rounds from his possession.

Inspector Hazmat Nawaz of Secretariat police station, during a search apprehended Aizaz Hussain after recovering 11 bottles of wine from him. Sabzi Mandi police station Sub-inspector Allahadad arrested Muhammad Saleem accused for murder. Smimilarly, Koral police station Sub-inspector Shaukat Ali arrested Waqas Shafique also accused for murder. Shahzad Town police station arrested Faheem, Khursheed and Chanzeb involved in robbery and car theft activities.

Separate cases have been registered and further investigation is underway.

SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has appreciated the overall performance of officials and said that Islamabad police is determined to ensure effective action criminal elements.

GAMBLING DEN RAIDED: Police on Friday raided a gambling den operating in Dhoke Kala Khan and arrested eleven persons for their alleged involvement in the illegal activity.

Acting on a tip-off, Sadiqabad Police raided the gambling house and caught Hafeez, Ilyas, Zeeshan, Faiz, Waqas, Babar, Ali Asghar, Liaquat, Adnan, Waqar and Khawar red-handed along with the bet-money and seven mobile phones.

Cases have been registered against those arrested.

DRUG PUSHERS, BOOTLEGGERS APPREHENDED: Police on Friday arrested 19 outlaws and recovered weapons, drugs and bottles of liquor from their possession.

According to police spokesman, Pirwadhi police held Waqar Kiyani and recovered 115 grams of charras from his possession while Waris Khan police arrested Nisar Ahmed and recovered 350 grams of charras from him. Smimilarly, Sadiqabad police nabbed Shahzad Badil and recovered 215 grams of charras from him. Kalar Syedan police arrested Simran Hafiz and recovered 105 grams of charras from his possession.

Moreover, Rata Amral police held Afzal and recovered 8 bottles of liquor from his possession. Waris Khan police arrested Ayub Masih and seized 3 bottles of liquor from him, while Naseerabad police arrested Ashfaq Masih and recovered 7 bottles of liquor from his possession. Morgah police held Mumtaz Kiyani and recovered 5 bottles of liquor from his possession. Saddar Barooni police arrested Nisar and recovered 5 bottles of liquor from him.

Westridge police arrested Aslam after 150 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. Naseerabad police held Aurangzeb and recovered a 30 bore pistol with 4 rounds from him. Saddar Wah police arrested Shafi and recovered a pistol 30 bore along with 2 rounds from his possession. Kotli Sattain police held Inam and recovered a 30 bore pistol and 3 rounds, whereas Rata Amral police recovered hundreds of firecrackers from Faisal’s possession.

Police have registered separate cases against them and started investigation.
