The new Sindh minister, who was allotted the portfolio of revenue, Makhdoom Jameeluz Zaman, while dedicated to put his own house in order, removed at least 25 clerks, who were made sub-registrar lands in almost all districts of the province by the previous government.
The major job of the registrar and sub-registrar is to deal with the issues related to the lands demarcation and allotments, however, the appointment of clerks as sub-registrars was a murky process altogether where low grade officials were assigned the important task during the previous regime.
In this regard, a notification No PS/MBR(RS&EP)BOR/2013/227/ cancelled the posting orders of the following officials of the Registration Wing, working/posted as sub-registrar on Own Pay Scale (OPS) basis in the Registration Wing with immediate effect and were directed to join their original place of posting.
