Polio campaign will be initiated from August 16th in the provincial metropolis while from August 19th it will be initiated all over the province.
Per details, EPI Sindh Director Programme Dr Mazhar Abbas Khamisani had said that a three day anti-polio campaign was going to start on emergency basis from August 16th, after the registration of second polio case in the city during the current year.
He said that 2.2 million children would be vaccinated during the anti-polio campaign in the city, while more than 6.6 million children would be vaccinated in other cities of the province during the campaign.
According to Dr Khamisani, more than 22,000 teams would participate in the campaign and services of police and rangers would be sought for security of these teams during the three day campaign.
